A conversation with soccer coach Ryo Okaya:
Ryo Okaya, a Shiga Prefecture native with a diverse background, is a passionate coach currently guiding young soccer players. His approach to training includes not only exercise but also balanced nutrition, particularly the benefits of protein ramune. In this blog, we delve into how Coach Okaya incorporates protein ramune into his daily training and how it contributes to improving the performance of young athletes. Learn from Okaya's experience what makes protein ramune so delicious, protein-rich, and easy to consume.
1. How did you become a soccer coach? What is your background in soccer?
A. My career as a soccer coach began eight years ago when I was invited to coach at Omi High School by the current head coach, Maeda Takataka.
2. What has been your most influential experience as a soccer player or coach?
A. As a soccer player, it was playing against former Argentina national team player Aguero in a professional official match in Argentina (satellite league match in the J.League). I was 15 years old at the time, when I was playing for Independiente. As a coach, it was when the Omi High School soccer team, which I coach, achieved second place in the 102nd All Japan High School Soccer Championship. I began training the team eight years ago, and Coach Maeda invited me to coach them. I'm so happy to see how strong the high school has become. I hope to continue aiming even higher.

3. Why would you recommend Protein Ramune to young athletes?
A. The reason we recommend it is that it can be eaten casually like a snack, and can be enjoyed in a variety of ways, such as like a smoothie, and it contains 15 types of nutrients, making it highly nutritious.
4. What do you think are the benefits of consuming protein drinks before and after training?
A. First of all, it has the advantage of being able to be taken quickly before or after training. Taking it before training is effective for improving playing performance. After training, it is ideal for repairing muscles that have been damaged by the stress of training, and it is also high in protein, vitamins, and minerals, so I think there are many benefits to taking it after training.
5. How do you incorporate protein into your students' daily training and diet?
A. I take it before and after training and in between workouts.

6. Please tell us about the changes you have seen in the students' performance and physical condition after using Protein Ramune.
A. Taking it before early morning training, practice matches, or games has improved my child's performance. (It's difficult to get enough nutrition in the early morning.) I've heard from parents that taking it after training is good because it's fizzy, satisfies hunger, and eliminates the need to eat other unnecessary foods.
7. What do you think is important when choosing a protein drink?
A.It is highly nutritious and contains 15 types of nutrients.
8. Nutrition is important for athletes, but what nutrients do you think are particularly important?
A. You need the three major nutrients - carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids - as well as vitamins and minerals. Of these, protein is especially important.
9. What advice would you like to give to young soccer players of the future?
A. Soccer players grow through a cycle of training-nutrition-rest, but I think that if you pay more attention to nutrition, your growth will be further promoted, so you should take more of an interest in nutrition.
10. What positive impact do you hope to have on the lives of soccer students through Protein Ramune?
A.The packaging is stylish and I think it would be good for everyday fashion.
